The mission for all involved in KIDS is to fund & develop after-school programs and supports in disadvantaged and poverty areas of Argentina.
To achieve our mission statement, KIDS will:
Generate funds to develop these programs
Develop the programs
Recruit coordinators and volunteers
Run the programs
Develop a manual so the program can be repeated
Create awareness of this situation and get people involved from inside and outside of Argentina
KIDS worked in conjunction with Caritas Rosario for the first three years. By working with Caritas KIDS strengthened existing after-school programs that involved supporting the community to train, develop and deliver their own solutions to a community problem. This participation model strengthens family and community bonds & creates strong social networks.
In 2010, KIDS will continue working in the San Pablo community and will start developing plans to expand to new communities within Rosario.
